Packed arena in Nuremberg: Rock legend Sting gets the crowd going...

From teacher to "policeman" – and music legend. Sting is now 72 years old, but apparently not tired at all. With his "My Songs" tour, the 17-time Grammy winner rocked the ARENA NÜRNBERGER Versicherung.

As part of his tour, he is currently presenting his biggest hits, such as "Englishman In New York," "Fields Of Gold," and "Every Breath You Take."

The award-winning artist was accompanied by an electric rock ensemble.

The now 72-year-old became world-famous both as a solo artist and with his band "The Police."

In 1977, he founded the rock-pop band with two other musicians in London.

The band was considered one of the most successful rock formations of the New Wave era.

The band split up in 1986, and Sting embarked on a successful solo career.

The Police's story wasn't quite over, however.

In May 2007, the band embarked on a world tour and disbanded for good after the tour ended in August 2008.

Sting also continues to be well-received in the music press: After his sold-out six-day residency at the London Palladium, "My Songs" was called a "masterclass" by The Times. The Daily Telegraph described the musical journey as a "rare treat."
