"The film is a call to consciousness to everyone who sees it, an invitation to accept that there is more to this life than meets the eye." - Sting & Trudie Styler

"A hugely important, life-changing film." - Filmmaker Joe Berlinger ("Brother's Keeper," "Paradise Lost," "Crude")

Statistics show that most Americans believe in angels, demons and ghosts, but who really ever sees them? Jonas Elrod does.

In "Wake Up," a new documentary film co-directed by Elrod and filmmaker Chloe Crespi, the 38-year-old former Southerner, now living in New York City, travels America and abroad to try to decipher why he's seeing the supernatural -- every day.

In the film, Elrod explains that he woke up one morning to find that he had been shown a window into the spirit world: where ghosts, angels, demons and auras regularly appear.

Initially, he seeks the advice of a psychiatrist. The doctor asks, "Do you see anything now?" Elrod answers, with trepidation, "Your head's blue ... a woman is standing behind you." The perplexed Elrod tells someone else, "I don't think it's anything to be afraid of. I think it's a beautiful thing. It can be."

But clearly, Elrod is shaken, and the film shows him trying to figure out what this all means, why him and most of all how to live with this every day. His Christian parents see their son's visions as an act of God. This provocative and moving film chronicles his journey across the country with his girlfriend to seek answers. In an effort to understand what really lies behind the veil that separates our world from other dimensions, their travels reveal things about their minds and hearts that they never imagined.

Don't miss "Wake Up," a popular entry at such leading festivals as South by Southwest and a film that explores something none of us really understand but wonder about most of our lives.
