Music at the Pantheon, October 6th 2021
In 1971, France Inter Paris was created to make life more pleasant for Parisians. A love story was born between Fip and the capital. 50 years later, for its anniversary, it is only natural that the most musical of radio stations becomes immortal when it enters the Pantheon.
Fip and the Center Des Monuments Nationaux are teaming up for an exceptional event, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of radio, with Sting, to offer Fip listeners a moment of music in the temple of verb, of thought and of commitment. This recording will take place in public.
THE PANTHEON
Temple of great men, where lie major figures of commitment and ideas - Jean Jaurès, Victor Hugo, Simone Veil..., the Pantheon is also the temple of verse and verb, powerful words that have helped change the humanity and societies.
While the artist and resistance fighter Joséphine Baker will enter the Pantheon in a few weeks, Fip radio and the Center des monuments nationaux are inviting one of the world's rock figures: Sting.
This exceptional recording produced on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the radio, pays tribute to the work of this Anglo-Saxon artist of the international music scene, whose words, music and gaze on the world have closely accompanied several generations.
